Meghan and James were wed on a gorgeous Summer day at the Lake of Isles in North Stonington, CT.
Lake of Isles has a quiet, intimate lakeside feel, but with the amenities of being part of the Foxwoods Resort next door. Our experience with Lake of Isles staff was one of the best we’ve ever had a vendor and Meghan and James definitely agreed it was one of the reasons they decided to get married there
Creating their ceremony arch by the lake was so serene. Normally there can be a lot of hustle and bustle on wedding days but I quietly crafted their wedding arch next to the calmest lake water; there were ducks and fish bobbing around in the water. It was picturesque.
Meghan and James were able to use our lanterns as their centerpieces in order to keep costs down. They are an economical choice that gives a big impact on the table.
Meghan loves blue hydrangea and as the epitome of summer she dressed her bridesmaids in a very similar cornflower blue.
It’s definitely more rare for me to work first with the groom rather than the bride. But I so appreciate when partners get involved in the flower and decor process.
